TripIt from SAP Concur launches expanded Neighborhood Safety Score features, powered by GeoSure

Sep 17, 2025

Today, TripIt from SAP Concur, one of the highest-rated travel organizing apps, launched expanded Neighborhood Safety Score features, available on both IOS and Android.

TripIt’s Neighborhood Safety Scores are expanding beyond hotels and activities. Now, users will see safety details for train stations, ferry terminals, and shuttle and car rental pick-up and drop-off locations.

Neighborhood Safety Scores provides an overall risk score for the destinations in your itinerary and can be broken down into categories like physical, theft, and women and nighttime safety. The scores are dynamically updated, as safety itself is a fluid entity. Users can set a personal risk level, and TripIt will inform them if a location goes above that risk level.

Neighborhood Safety Scores are powered by GeoSure®, which combines structured data with AI-driven contextual intelligence to analyze metadata captured from hundreds of trusted sources like the GDELT, WHO, Interpol, country and city crime statistics, built environment, macro trends and more to determine destination safety.
