Kicking off our list is “the world’s biggest small Pride”—AKA, Reykjavík’s annual Pride festival, now in its 25th year. This year, Reykjavík Pride will take place August 6-11; the parade is scheduled for Saturday, August 12.

For more than 30 years, Kingston Pride has drawn locals and travelers alike to its annual Pride celebrations. And this year will be no different: Kingston Pride 2024 will take place June 9-16; the parade and community fair will be held on Saturday, June 15.

The first of two Spanish cities on the list, Alicante is home to the annual Benidorm Pride festival. While dates and events are yet to be announced for 2024, the festival takes place each September. And if 2023 is any indication of what’s in store, travelers can expect a Pride parade, pool and beach parties, themed brunches, concerts, and more.
Pride Portland! festival and parade takes place annually in the city of Portland, Maine. This year, both events will take place on June 15. What can travelers expect at this year’s festival and parade? New merch, a new theme, new grand marshalls—and much more.
To some, San Francisco is the Gay Capital of the World. It’s home to one of the largest LGBTQ+ communities in the world—and as such, travelers flock to the city to celebrate Pride year after year.
In 2024, San Francisco Pride—dubbed “The World’s Most Iconic Queer Event”—will take place on June 29 and 30. The two-day event features the San Francisco Pride Parade, plus loads of other events happening across the city and around the Bay Area, including galas, film festivals, drag brunches, and more.

Birthplace of Federico García Lorca, one of Spain’s most celebrated LGBTQ+ poets, Granada is a year-round playground for LGBTQ+ travelers. Think: fine wine, local cuisine, great nightlife, and more.

Victoria—consistently one of the world’s safest cities for LGBTQ+ travelers—will return with its annual Pride Festival in 2024.
This year, the Victoria Pride Festival will take place from June 27 to July 7. The parade route, as well as other event details, are still to come. Keep an eye on the Victoria Pride Society site or follow them on Instagram for updates.
And clocking in at number one on our list of must-visit Pride destinations: New York City.
